We're back!

Now that we're here facing the last day of 2007, I have finally found a few free minutes to post an update on all of us after a busy month full of ups and downs! Not long after our last post, Luke came down with RSV. For those of you who don't know, this basically sentenced us to a couple of really long horrible weeks. Luke was up constantly with breathing problems that led to bouts of coughing, and he had zero interest in eating or drinking much of anything for about a week. Things were quite glum here in the Ford house, but we have all bounced back and are doing quite well! Luke has been eating like a champ to make up for lost time, and is a much happier little guy!

Christmas was much more exciting this year for Luke! By the time it was all said and done, he definitely knew that something good was underneath all that wrapping paper! It was so much fun to see his happy little face when he saw his new toys!

We spent the weekend before Christmas up in Dallas, and had a great day with Grandma and Grandpa Ford. We were also happily surprised to find Luke's Uncle Dave, Aunt Linda, and cousin Tommy in town for the holidays as well! Luke and Tommy are still not too sure about each other, but we're hoping that Luke grows up to take sharing lessons from his cousin Tommy!

On Christmas day we traveled all day in the car to Breckenridge Colorado where we spent the rest of the week! Luke was an excellent little traveller! He did so well with a really long day in the car. Most of his day was spent glued to the DVD player watching his favorite show, Jack's Big Music Show, and Carl and I can now recite most of the episodes ourselves, but we were just happy to keep him entertained! The weather in Breckenridge was pretty chilly, so Luke didn't spend too much time outside, but we did take him out for a few trips in the sled so that he could enjoy the snow! Luke may be sad to learn that we have no snow here in Austin as he grows up, because he LOVED riding in the sled! He grinned from ear to ear the whole time!

In other big news for the month, Luke is finally walking!! He started on December 17th when he was exactly 13 months old, and he has been getting better and better every day! He still crawls when he is in a hurry, but he's really getting the hang of this walking thing!

Here are some pictures from the last month! Carl also got me a new video recorder for Christmas, so as soon as I figure out how to get the videos off of it, I will upload some of those as well! We hope that you are all happy and healthy, and that you all have a wonderful 2008!
