A new era

As many of you know, Luke has been going to daycare 2 days a week since he was about 5 months old. Overall it has been a wonderful experience. Luke loves going to play with his friends at "school", and I get a couple of days a week to do a little work and take care of the stuff around the house that is much easier without Luke underfoot. Up until now, Luke has been in the infant room with all of the other new babies. In the infant room, the babies run the show. They do what they want when they want. At 15 months, this foot loose and fancy free lifestyle comes to close for Luke. He is now officially a toddler in the eyes of his daycare providers. Luke started in the toddler room this morning. Carl, who always drops Luke off in the morning on his way to work, said that the day got off to a rough start. I'm hoping that by now he he is happily playing with all of the other toddlers. The real test will be the scheduled naptime from 12:00 - 2:30. If they manage to get him to sleep that long, I'm hiring the daycare workers to train us here at home, because we can never get him to sleep for more than an hour at most. Anyway, I can't wait to see the little guy this afternoon and hear about how his first day in the toddler room went. Our baby is growing up!
