Luke is 16 months old today! Last year on St Patrick's day I remember dressing Luke up in his little shamrock outfit and posing him for the camera before he could even sit up! Now he's tearing around our house as a full fledged toddler! It's amazing how much he has changed in just one year. I'll be posting a new 16 month picture later on today.
Luke is working more and more on becoming a big guy every day. Lately, he has been learning to point out various parts of his body, including ears, mouth, feet, and tummy. He is also starting to show preference for his favorite things like certain books and blankets etc. His current favorite books are My First 100 Words, which was a birthday gift from his buddy David, and Gossie the Gosling, a Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa Ford. He's still working on some new words, but they are mostly only understood by Mom and Dad. This month he has been working on tiger, ice cream, all done, shoes, and some new animal noises like a cat meow and a lion roar. He knows that when a book is finished or a cartoon ends, and he says "all done." Some of his favorite games right now are to find Mommy when she hides somewhere around the house, to fill an empty pitcher with building blocks, and to try and find a way to get a hold of the laptop or the remotes!
Overall he is doing just great! He has gotten much taller recently, but I haven't gotten out the tape measure to see just how big he is!
Before we go, Luke also wants to wish a big happy birthday to his cousin Tommy who turned 2 yesterday, and his cousin Kevin who will be 15 tomorrow!

Aren't they so precious when they are sleeping? I just want to eat them up!
