18 months!

Today our baby boy is half way to 2! He keeps us very busy these days, but he is doing just great! We have learned a lot of new skills since turning 1! He has gotten to be very proficient with a fork and spoon, and usually will only eat something that he can feed himself. He can also drink from a cup with no lid, although sometimes he still gets a little too excited and pours some in his lap! At Luke's 15 month appointment, we struggled to come up with enough words that he said to fall in to the normal range for his age, but he has really taken off since then. We're now up to around 25 words or so, which puts him right back where he needs to be for 18 months. He's also stringing a couple words together like "all done." Some other new fun skills he's doing include walking backwards, throwing and occasionally kicking a ball, and climbing up on the furniture! So, basically, he's keeping us very busy! Time to get back to work on the next 6 months until Luke turns 2! At the rate we're going, this hard hat may come in handy!
